✨I’m testing video work. This time I’m practicing conveying fleeting moments of Miyazaki’s nature and daily life through footage. I’m working with short clips to create a sense of presence.
I capture moments that appeal to the senses: sunlight on the sea and the sound of waves, the breeze in the forest, and the lingering notes of festival flutes and drums. I’m experimenting to see if viewers can feel shifting light and human breath within brief takes. Please tell me about volume or picture quality differences when you watch.
I’m also doing test shoots to find the right shooting points, adjusting the direction of light and microphone for fine tuning. When filming on the road, comfortable shoes, spare batteries, and sunscreen help you feel prepared. For outdoor events like kagura, bring warm clothing for the evening chill.
On this account I’ll keep adding short videos to share seasonal moods and the afterglow of festivals. If there are places or scenes you’d like to see, let me know in the comments and I’ll use them as references for the next shoot. I’d be glad if you save or share your favorites; they might help with your travel planning.
In the footage I’m capturing moments like the soft morning light dyeing the sea and the slow sway of wind shadows along rice-field ridges. Small footprints at the water’s edge and early-morning conversations in a port town gain depth when edited into short cuts. Slightly emphasizing the colors and textures on screen can strengthen the unity of sound and image, but don’t overdo it—keep it subtle. The landscapes you encounter while filming are once-in-a-lifetime; ordinary frames often become lasting memories. If you like, tell me your preferences for music or subtitles during shoots—I’ll take them into account. Also, I always observe filming etiquette by being considerate of locals and other visitors so as not to disturb them. I make time between takes to experience local food and customs, because I want to preserve the small stories that come from those moments in my videos. I will reflect the feedback I receive in future shoots to create videos that better convey the atmosphere of each destination. I’ll also share useful tips about gear and editing for those interested, little by little, so feel free to reach out. I will continue testing to deliver footage that lets you feel Miyazaki’s appeal. If you like it, save it and add it to your next-trip list. #video test #travel

Hello, here’s a guide to the highlights of Mt. Takao in Tokyo Metropolis.
You may have heard of Michelin, but first let us introduce a mountain walk that delights all five senses.
In the morning you’ll notice the scent of the trees and birdsong; in the afternoon the aroma of soba drifts from the teahouses.
Climbing the stone steps brings you into the solemn atmosphere of Takaosan Yakuoin Temple, where you can take a slow, respectful walk along the approach and offer your prayers.
Takaosan Yakuoin Temple
Address: 2177 Takaomachi, Hachioji City, Tokyo Metropolis 193-8686
Highlights: the Niomon gate, Daishidou, the 108 Steps, Octopus Cedar (Takosugi), the Bussarito Pagoda, and other temple buildings and historic sites to enjoy.
When visiting, walk considerately around others so you can enjoy a calm experience.
Using the cable car or lift lets you tailor the walk to your fitness level. On clear days you can see the Tokyo skyline and seasonal flowers.
Pause at a mountainside teahouse to taste tororo soba or dango and catch your breath.
There are many photo spots, so bring extra battery power.
The approach has some uneven sections, so wear comfortable shoes and take your time.
Bringing drinks and warm clothing is reassuring.
Don’t forget comfortable shoes, a drink, and your camera. We look forward to your visit!
Please come and enjoy your time here 🙂

The "Hachioji City Office" produced the "Hachioji City City Promotion Video," which introduces the charm of Hachioji City, located west of Tokyo. Despite being part of Tokyo, Hachioji offers abundant natural beauty, local gourmet foods, and shopping spots like CELEO in front of Hachioji Station, making it an ideal area to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and refresh your mind. Additionally, Hachioji is home to 23 university campuses, with many students living here. There are also numerous spots where you can feel Japan's history and culture, making it recommended for those who want to learn more about Japan.
This article introduces popular tourist spots in Hachioji City, such as Mount Takao, in line with the video. You can also watch footage of the exciting matches of the Tokyo Hachioji Bee Trains, Hachioji's professional basketball team. In just about 45 minutes by train from Tokyo Shinjuku, you can experience such abundant nature!
Let's enjoy the view of Hachioji's townscape from the easily accessible Mount Takao! Hachioji is a popular tourist area where you can enjoy beautiful nature despite being in Tokyo. With the largest rural area in Tokyo, the Takatsuki Suiden Area, and spots where you can feel negative ions, such as the ginkgo tree-lined streets, Hachioji is also recommended when you want to take a breather. These can be seen from 0:06 in the video.
The most popular spot to feel Hachioji's nature is Mount Takao, with an elevation of 599 meters. This can be seen from 0:32 in the video. Introduced in the Michelin Guide, it is the world's most visited mountain with 2.6 million visitors annually. By using the Mount Takao Lift or the Mount Takao Cable Car, you can easily hike and spend a luxurious time enjoying the autumn leaves, Tokyo's cityscape, and beautiful nature. Also, at Mount Takao, from 1:09 in the video, you can enjoy a beer garden while savoring the night view of nearby Hachioji at the Mount Takao Beer Mount. If the weather is good, you can enjoy the night view of central Tokyo and Yokohama. With its open atmosphere and picturesque scenery, the drinks will go down smoothly.
When you visit Mount Takao, be sure to also visit the power spot, Takaozan Yakuoin, from 2:03 in the video. At Kiyotaki Station of the Mount Takao Cable Car, there is a bronze statue of enka singer Saburo Kitajima, who resides in Hachioji, making it a popular photo spot that is Instagram-worthy.

The turtle was slowly walking along the road.
He was on his way home to his house by the pond.
At that moment, the rabbit hopped over and said,
"Turtle, you're really slow. At this rate, the sun will set before you get home."
The turtle replied angrily,
"I can run very fast when I need to."
The rabbit laughed and said,
"When would that be?"
After thinking for a moment, the rabbit said,
"Alright, let's have a race to the top of that hill tomorrow morning. Whoever gets there first wins."
"Understood. Let's race."
The turtle replied.
The next morning, the turtle and the rabbit lined up, ready to race to the top of the hill.
The rabbit hopped over the river, passed through the forest, and ran across the field. When he reached the slope leading up the hill, he looked back but couldn't see the turtle at all.
"Hmph, what did I tell you? It's foolish for a turtle to race a rabbit. Well, I'll take a break here."

Located on the western side of Tokyo, Hachioji offers a perfect balance between nature and urban life.
The area around the station is lined with large commercial facilities and cafes, and just a short walk away, traditional shopping streets continue to thrive.
On weekends, you can hike up Mt. Takao.
Despite being about an hour by train from the city center, the view from the summit feels like a different world.
Enjoying coffee in the clear air and eating soba after descending are the best.
Another charm of Hachioji is the warmth of its people.
In cafes and small shops run by locals, conversations often flow, making you want to stay longer.
This city, where new discoveries and nostalgia coexist, will surely make you fall in love when you take a leisurely walk.
