Battery-Powered Sightseeing Boat (Mihama Town Lake Center) This sightseeing boat operates on the Mikata Goko (Five Lakes of Mikata), which are registered as a Ramsar Convention wetland, so it does not use any fuel such as heavy oil, and is environmentally friendly. The electricity generated by the solar panels at the facility is stored in the ship's lithium-ion secondary battery (approximately 300 kWh) and used for operation. The highly quiet cruise gently navigates the calm lake surface for approximately 50 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the rich nature of Mikata Goko. The basic course departs from Lake Kukushi, passes through the Urami River, and circles Lake Suigetsu for approximately 50 minutes. The onboard guide introduces the highlights and explains the mechanism of the sightseeing boat, making it a useful place for learning about nature and energy.
