Yesterday, I went to Ukishima Marshland for guidance.
Although it was closed last time, the bio-toilet installed in the Ukishima wetland parking lot can now be used. There is no electricity inside, so it is convenient to have a light source such as a flashlight.
The walking path to the marshland is widely cut with bamboo trees, which improves ventilation and there are almost no muddy areas. You can walk around in trekking shoes or athletic shoes.
In the marshland, "Chinguruma" was in the final stages, but "Isoazalea" was in full bloom and "cotton sedge" was in full bloom, and it colored the marshland.
"Ukishima Marshland" is characterized by a high-rise wetland at an altitude of 860m, which is rare in Hokkaido. To avoid meeting bears!
○ Be careful if you find any traces of bears (droppings, footprints, digging up the ground).
○ Stay away from places with haunting signs.
○Be especially careful in the early morning, evening, and in case of rain.
○ Act while making sounds with bells and radios.
○Pay attention to narrow places such as streams and places with poor visibility.
Please take as many measures as possible, such as carrying bear repellent spray and acting with multiple people.
