When I first heard about shirakawago in 2015 from then had dream to visit this place someday. Finally my dream come true and today I visited the most picture perfect and iconic village of Japan. I feel an unexplainable joy and time goes very fast to enjoy the beauty. The beautiful and unique gassho-zukuri village on a pre-autumn rainy morning. The traditional house, the rice fields, cosmos flowers, the green mountains and the alleys of pines what else we need to see. The whole atmosphere is so beautiful.

It is Monet's pond in Gifu Prefecture. The water in this pond is very clear with spring water, so carp also look uplifting, especially Instagrammable.

古い街並みに花火が映える日本の夏、懐かしい故郷の夏を感じさせてくれる一枚を選びました。 ふるさとに根付いた歴史ある「蘇水峡川まつり花火大会」が3年ぶりに開催されました。 ここ八百津には、江戸時代「小江戸」と呼ばれるほど賑わいを見せた木曽川最上流の湊「黒瀬湊」があり、打ち上げ花火の歴史は、江戸時代に遡ることも。舟運華やかな頃の名残として今も木曽川を舞台に開催されています。 コロナ禍により戦没者慰霊や戦後復興により始まった花火大会は、メジャーなものでも相次ぐ廃止・統合が続く中、小さな町で開催が継続されたことは本当に嬉しいものです。 コロナ禍の中昨年は竜巻も発生し、災難続きの八百津ですが、杉浦千畝氏の生誕地であり木曽川や山々の自然、鰻に栗きんとんなどの美味しいものに魅力いっぱいの町。今後新丸山ダムが完成し、周辺の整備が進むと秘境の深沢峡にもまた行けるようになるとか。 昔の賑わいを取り戻していくことを願っています。

岐阜県垂井町の相川水辺公園にて 3月末頃から川の上で鯉のぼりが泳いでいます。 3月末～4月上旬であれば写真のように桜と、奥には冠雪した伊吹山が見られます。

岐阜県恵那市坂折棚田 5月になると水が張られ、美しい田園風景が見られます。 新月前後だと深夜天の川や満点の星空が見られますし、 日の出の時間には多くのカメラマンが集まります。 余談ですがここから車で10分くらいのところに日本一高いバンジージャンプが出来る岐阜バンジーがあります。
