Located at the southern end of Honshu, Nachikatsuura, Wakayama has a mild climate throughout the year. A large amount of fish and shellfish are caught at the rich port facing the Pacific Ocean. This includes tuna as well.
As Japan’s largest longline fishing port, the town has a lot of restaurants where tourists can eat fresh tuna for lunch, so we definitely recommend grabbing a bite to eat here.
